We also sang new songs and did some animal art to keep our bodies and our brains in a good balance. We have been using yoga both to calm and to energize our bodies, and I am excited about the kids' progress with their body control and the growth in their ability to focus on their breathing.
We went for a walk in the woods to search for signs of spring. The kids were very diligent in their searching, which was delightful to see! The woods did recently get cleaned out of buckthorn, and also some tiny trees, so it is looking rather empty, and some of the kids were a little upset. We talked about how new things will grow with time, but it's okay to be sad. Your children are such empathetic stewards of the earth!
