On Friday, we made some delicious sugar cookies. It's always a treat to see how excited the kids get to cook! We also talked about friendship and what it means to be a good friend. We continue to practice writing our names with only the first letter being uppercase, and we have started to scratch the surface of how to write a sentence. The kids made adorable snowy owls during art time this week as well.
In math, we continued to practice the concepts of one more and one less, to name shapes, to write numbers, to create and name patterns, and we played a really fun new game! The game is called the "mountain dice game" (el juego la de montaña). The kids LOVED this game, and it's easy to play at home - all you need are two dice and a piece of paper! It works on quick number identification and counting, playing fair, and being a good sport. Here's what the game looks like, if you want to try it out with your kids:
