This week, we focused on the letter Ll ll, read a book about Owen and Mzee - two animal friends - check out a website about their story here. We continued our study of paper and wood by predicting and observing results of two experiments with paper. We drew on and folded various types of paper, to see which types of paper were good/bad for writing on, and which were easy/difficult to fold. It is always fun to see them get into a scientist mindset. We also had three options for talleres that had to do with paper: paper collage, paper maiché, and paper weaving.
We continued to celebrate friendship month by making and delivering a surprise to Sra. Ruff's class (ask the kids for details!), and we were surprised by Sra. Johnson's class. On Friday, we had our fiesta de amigos - complete with friendship bracelet making, balloons, a special snack, and a relay race. Thanks to everyone who could attend our party!
