This summer, please keep your child playing, discovering, reading, writing, and using Spanish. The Kindergarten Websites will be open all summer long, until the week before school starts. Then, we need to get them ready for the next kindergarten class.
Lastly, some celebration is in order. We did it! Your child has officially moved on from being a kindergarten to a first grade student! It has been a true privilege to work with each and every one of your children this year. They have grown from timid, wide-eyed strangers to enthusiastic, confident friends and learners. I am so proud of their growth socially and academically, and I am incredibly proud of their Spanish skills as well! Each child is reading and writing in Spanish! How amazing!!
Thank you for sharing your child with me this year. They have touched my heart in countless ways - both large and small. I will miss them this summer, and I look forward to seeing all of them as successful first graders next year!
Don't forget to keep using the Kids A-Z website so your children can practice reading in Spanish! Also, the St. Louis Park Library has a section of Spanish books, too. Tumblebooks is another good option to listen to Spanish, and it can be found on the PSI Student Resource webpage. | PSI teachers complied a list of things to do over the summer to keep your child's brain fresh and ready for the next school year! We will have 8 Amities once again next year, and each of them need a home to stay in for both the first and second semester of school. The commitment requires that the Amity have their own legal bedroom, and there is an extensive list of FAQ's here. If you are interested, there is more information on this page.
