They also wrote about their sculpture using phrases like Es un/una ______. (This is a _____.), Tiene ______. (It has ______.) Yo veo _______. (I see _______.) Yes - they are already writing in full sentences in Spanish! We practiced more about when the letter c makes a hard sound (kuh - ca, co, cu) and when it makes a soft sound (ss - ce, ci). In math, we delved more deeply into estimating, used math theater to write equations, and worked more on the teen numbers. We had an art lesson with Sra. Bruns about shapes and color - they learned how to make different tints with water colors and their final products are neat! We ended the week with the friendship party, and it's always fun to have a party. Thank you to everyone who could come - your help was greatly appreciated!
