We worked especially hard in language arts this week. They have been working so hard to write complete sentences, and I am proud of their progress. We also used a Venn Diagram to compare two different animals (focusing on how to use the diagram itself), and we will use those skills this coming week to compare two different books by the same author. In art, each child made an adorable penguin standing on an iceberg. I LOVED the end products!
As we end the first semester of school (can you believe it?!), I'd like to thank you for sharing your amazing children with me. The kids continue to impress me with their casual use of Spanish and their growth, to warm my heart with their curiosity and kindness, and to inspire me with their enthusiasm and their love for learning. I am so proud to watch them work hard, and to try their best. That is a message I would like for you to echo at home. My goal for all of my kids is that they try their hardest and that they grow, embracing mistakes as tools to learn, not as road blocks. As long as they are trying their best, they are making me proud. Each of your children are a gift to me. I have enjoyed this year immensely, and I am so looking forward to all of the time we still have together.
