In math we worked closely with the numbers 1-20 playing fun pumpkin themed games and kids in class had a blast getting to count and be creative with googly eyes on monsters. Cohort A and B were also introduced to punch-the-dots pages in which they use a thumbtack to poke through dotted drawings, maybe you saw a few finished pages come home. They are a great way for them to develop their fine motor skills which will help with writing and being able to do more things on their own!
For art, students in Cohort A and B painted coffee filter suncatchers to add more color to our classroom and also took part in a guided drawing of a turtle. All students took part in a guided drawing of a frog after reading a story about snow clothing. Everyone got to see Seño Jocque on Thursday too and had lots of fun getting to sing together!
