I asked the students in their final Seesaw assignment to tell me what they would remember about this school year. Their answers are shown above. Interestingly, with the exception of zoom, these are the same memories that students share every year. I'm so grateful that this group of children will move forward remembering their friends, the books we read, the projects we did, and the math and Spanish that they learned. It was a challenging year, to say the least, but your children learned so much and they came together as a community of learners. I'm proud of them for doing their best and for showing up everyday for another set of zoom calls. We shared a lot of laughs, dealt with some frustrations, made many connections, and celebrated often. It really was a pleasure to work with them!
I extend to all of you my heartfelt gratitude for partnering with PSI and with me this semester, or whole year. Thank you to those of you who contributed to the plant and gift basket I received at the June 5 party. Thank you also for the other thoughtful gifts. I've enjoyed getting to know you, and I look forward to seeing you at PSI in the near future.
May you all have a healthy, safe, and fun summer!

A couple of notes:
-- You will receive your child's report card by mail in the next few days. Only two marks were used this semester: S for Satisfactory, having met the outcome; and P for Progressing, working toward the outcome. First and second grade teachers will take into account that your children were in distance learning as they plan for next fall.
--Please return school-issued ipads and Chromebooks to the PSI office this week.
--Keep reading! It is so important that students continue to read and interact with books over the summer. The PSI library will be open twice weekly:
