Art was a part of each day last week. The kids created their own silly books based on a story we read Yo tenía un hipopótamo. The book entails a child saying that they had all of these different wild animals as a pet, but he gave them to various family members. I hope you are able to enjoy their art and their creativity by reading those books with them when they come home this week! They also created an adorable flower art project, based on a Picasso piece, for each of their moms. On Thursday, they used the iPads use Art for Kids Hub. This website has been a wonderful tool we have used this year to learn how to draw. The site was created by a talented man named Rob. He and his children record and share weekly drawing lessons that are very kid friendly. Feel free to try it out at home!
The focus of math this week was subtraction. It can be a tough concept to wrap your brain around at such a young age, but I have been pleased to see the progress that each child has made in subtracting. In other news, we were lucky enough to see the Baile Folklórico performances during an assembly this Wednesday. Many of the kids in our room just love to dance, and we had a blast!
