We also went for a nature walk and learned how to do leaf rubbings. The kids were amazing at the results! (Is that magic, Sra. Lindsey?) In math, we practiced 5-groups, making and naming patterns, writing the numbers 8 and 9, and telling stories that include math. I have been pleased to see the kids using more and more Spanish in our classroom!
This week, we started something very exciting during our independent reading time. The kids each have a little white book (libros perfectos) that helps the kids to start to blend two letters together to form syllables. They are very proud of themselves because this is the first book here at school that they will be able to read in Spanish! I can't wait to see their progress!
Thanksgiving break begins soon! There will be no school from Wednesday, November 23rd to Friday, November 25th.
