Our letter of the week was Vv. New vocabulary included:

el violín - violin veinte - twenty las velas - candles
verde - green las verduras - vegetables el vestido - a dress
On Wednesday, we enjoyed an all-school assembly where the 2nd - 5th grade students involved in Baile Folklórico danced traditional dances from Spanish-speaking countries around the world. For talleres this week, the kids could choose between building a bridge for pennies using only paper for the bridge, drawing vacas (cows), playing outside, or using the computers.
Please join us for our Winter Party! Friday, December 22nd 1:30pm - 2:30pm The kids will be playing in the snow (or painting if there is no snow), eating a snack, and watching a wordless movie called "The Snowman" while enjoying hot chocolate. Please watch for an email from our room parents to sign up to help out at the party. Everyone is welcome to attend! |

Kindergarteners will soon hear about this popular school-wide event. Students of all ages showcase their creative and scientific talents by sharing projects. Examples of past projects include: lego creations, plant experiments, homemade soaps, car ramps, mazes, taste tests, float/sink projects. The sky's the limit!

Registration deadline is December 21.
