Throughout the week, we played maracas, drew monsters, painted and wrote about apples, learned a butterfly greeting, and had an apple taste test. The red and green/yellow apple was the favorite. We have also started to listen for, identify, read, and write syllables: ma, me, mi, mo, mu. Art activities included a tree with fall leaves, leaf prints, monster drawings, and a big apple.
We started working in Centers each morning. Centers are individual practice activities such as letter matching, counting, sorting, beads, stencils, science investigations, sequencing, sewing cards, patterns, etc. There are a few photos of the centers activities in the slideshow this week.
We ended the week with our fall party. Thanks to all who were able to join us!
On Wednesday, October 31st, we will be going to Westwood Nature Center for our first field trip of the year. The topic will be apples! To help us with this, please send 1 or 2 apples with your child by Wednesday. ¡Gracias!
Parents who will be chaperoning: we will be gone from about 12:45 - 2:45 pm. Please be at school before 12:45 if you plan on riding the bus
with the class.
