Recently we learned a catchy new song called "Tengo una cara feliz."
I added it to the Canciones website. Enjoy it!
The PSI Library will be open to all PSI families this summer.

Watch for more information about special guest readers!
Summer Reading Tips
-Continue to read to your child in English every day.
-While enjoying a story, encourage your child to:
1. Picture the story in your head.
2. Make predictions about what will happen next.
3. Think about why events in the story happen.
4. Draw a picture of the story while reading it.
5. Make connections to similar stories or experiences.
-Check out the summer programs at the public libraries!
-Students can practice reading in Spanish with books from the PSI library!
The Kinder websites will be available all summer! During back to school week I will limit access to them so I can prepare them for the new kindergarteners.
Finally, I want to thank all of you for sharing with me with your most prized possessions this year. It has truly been a treat for me to spend my days with so many energetic, enthusiastic five and six-year olds. They came to school happy and excited to learn, and they learned so much! Remember the first day, when most of your children only knew how to say hola, and some of them could count to 10? Now some of them can count to 100! They've learned the words for colors, animal names, shapes, foods, clothing, and a lot of songs! They learned the letter names and sounds, and how to combine the sounds to read syllables and words. They learned how to count, add, and subtract. And in the last month, many of them have made great leaps in their spoken Spanish. I see it all coming together.
And now it is time for them to move on to first grade, where they will learn more words, more numbers, and a lot more Spanish. Keep encouraging your child to participate in class and to try to speak Spanish every day next year. You'll be amazed at what they can learn!
My wish for all of you is a safe and happy summer, filled with family time, more learning, and a lot of fun. Thank you again for a wonderful year!
