Thursday is Read Across America day, in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday. We will begin the day's celebrations with a whole-school reading time. We will also read Dr. Seuss stories, talk about Seuss characters, and paint some Seuss-ical art. Students are welcome to bring in books written by Dr. Seuss, either in Spanish or English.

This is a great event for families! High school science students and others share numerous experiments and information related to science and engineering. It's hands on, and worth attending.

Thanks to all of you who sent in different types of paper and wood for our Materials of the World unit. We kicked off the unit by sorting the materials and determining how they are or aren't related. Most students were surprised to learn that cardboard is made of paper. We put water on each type of paper to discover that different types of papers have different purposes. Students also had the opportunity to weave, make a collage, or do paper maché during talleres. This week we will experiment with writing and drawing on different types of paper.
Conferences will be held on
Thursday, March 16 & Friday, March 17
Please sign up here. Thanks!
