In math, we continue to work with the numbers to 10, focusing on 5-groups, i.e. 5 and 2 is 7, 5 and 4 is 9. This helps students to develop fluency with our number system, which will benefit them as we move forward with addition, subtraction, and work with higher numbers. We also continue to learn about patterns, and we are playing some new math games.
More vocabulary! During November and December, we will do numerous vocabulary activities related to family, foods, and clothing.
In Talleres this week, the three activities students were able to choose from were: drumming with Sr. Crespo, building paper bridges (an engineering project) with Srta. Mlsna, or creating an owl using a collage technique with me. There were many excited students after these activities!
On Friday, November 7, the students enjoyed our Fiesta del Otoño. Thank you to all of the parents who were able to join us for the party.
