We enjoyed seeing everyone's different hats on a week ago Thursday. The newspaper hats were pretty popular, too! Enjoy the photos.

In our efforts to avoid that happening, we did some drawing and painting this week! We used the story Somos iguales, somos diferentes as the inspiration for our art. On Monday, we followed a guided drawing lesson to draw boys and girls. On Wednesday, we expanded on that and drew different styles of hair on our drawings. On Thursday, we drew more people and painted them with watercolors. Next Monday, we will complete the painting project by outlining the drawings with black crayon, which is the style used in the book. We will also practice decorating the clothing in our drawings next week.
As part of our phonics study, we reviewed the vowels Oo and Uu this week. So we learned to draw osos, too. They were definitely a hit!
Also in phonics, we worked with the letters Ss and Pp during the last two weeks.
