We had beautiful weather for our Westwood Nature Center field trip. While there, the students enjoyed a funny puppet show, went for a leaf hike, and helped to make apple cider.

We read a silly story called "Así me siento yo". It is all about emotions. The students had fun playing charades with the feelings from the story. New vocabulary words include:

Upcoming Dates to Know
Friday, November 7, is the date for our Fall Party. The theme of the day will be pumpkins. In the morning we will describe, draw, and make predictions about pumpkins. We will also write about pumpkins and start a pumpkin art project.
Party details:
1:30 - 2:30 pm (Set up can begin at 1:00 pm)
Volunteers needed for the following activities:
-Lead the musical chairs game
-Supervise the snack table
-Use your artistic talents at the art station (help with tracing, cutting, and
gluing)
-Make and lead the "Pin the nose on the pumpkin" game (draw a really big
pumpkin and cut up at least 23 triangle-shaped noses)
-Paint faces, with Sra. Wieber
