Our week ended with talleres and story time together - the first time we have done this in several weeks. The kids could choose from using musical instruments, painting, playing with toys, or using the computers.
At this point in the year, students begin to learn vocabulary even more quickly! During November and December, we will focus on family, emotions, food, and clothing words. The family-related words we focused on last week are: mamá (mom), papá (dad), hermano (brother), hermana (sister), and bebé (baby). This coming week we will add grandmother (abuela) and grandfather (abuelo).
Last week's letter was Dd. New words include:
dado (dice) dedo (finger) dos (two)
doce (twelve) delfín (dolphin) día (day)
dulces (candy) diez (ten) dinosaurio (dinosaur)
Join us at school for an evening of math games and puzzles! Last year's event included counting games, puzzles, brain teasers, contests, and a giant chess board. Come and play!
