We worked on writing the alphabet and the numbers to 20. We learned a new fast-paced dice game, and also started using a new app on the ipads. After reading a book created by another kindergarten class, the kids learned how to draw different kinds of hair and a boy and a girl (not stick figures), which was challenging, but rewarding. On Wednesday, the kids practiced drawing on whiteboards. The next day, they drew themselves on paper, outlined their drawing in black crayon, and finished their masterpieces by painting them with watercolors. We decorated a mural with all of their drawings.
Sra. Moore visited us on Wednesday and taught us about SuperFlex and Space Invader. Ask your child about how to defeat Space Invader. In the Makerspace, the challenge was to build a tower using cups, sticks, and notecards. Enjoy the photos!
This week's winning book was an Elefant and PIggie book by Mo Willems. Mo Willems writes stories that kindergarteners love. His books are filled with simple vocabulary and funny situations.
