Some tips for making our short onllne sessions as successful as possible:
- Your child should be seated at a surface they can write on (table, desk, etc.)
- Your child should have paper and pencil handy.
- Avoid having your child eat during this time. I'll be asking them to speak often, and chewing and speaking don't mix!
- No toys (unless I tell them we are having show and tell)
- They are welcome to share projects they have made. We have sharing time at the beginning of each session.

One of our favorite parts of the science unit that we were doing in March is the sculpture project. We had even planned to hold an exhibit and reception to celebrate the young sculptors during our spring party! Students love building and creating, and our classrooms always buzz with excitement and energy on building day. As teachers, we have decided to have students do the project at home. We will post more details in Seesaw later this week, but in the meantime, saving a box or two and the newspaper might be helpful.
